SCALÓNIDAS x Voti T-shirt | Inspired by Lionel Scaloni
Leonidas was a king of Sparta who led a small group of Greeks to hold back the vast army of the Persian Empire. Argentine journalist Alejandro Fantino, a fan of that story, referred to Lionel Scaloni as “Leonidas of Pujato” in an interview he conducted with him.
With that in mind, and in collaboration with Voti, we combined the last name of our national team’s head coach with the name of this ancient king to create this new nickname: Scalónidas. We also reimagined him as a warrior from Ancient Greece—a leader who led a small group to the pinnacle of soccer.
Our line of collaborations aims to bring together talent and a passion for soccer to represent the history and culture of the most beautiful sport in the world. We are Kiricocho, the exclusive brand for those who know soccer ⚽.
