Created by designer and illustrator @Votiiiiiii, this collaboration pays tribute to the greatest player of all time, Lionel Messi, drawing inspiration from medieval art. Her work reinterprets icons of popular culture using the visual codes of saints, emperors, and mythological figures — “a way of seeing the present through ancient eyes.”
This kids’ T-shirt depicts “The Messías” using elements and aesthetics from Roman culture. The figure appears printed on a coin, as was customary in ancient times for great leaders and symbols of power. The design is completed with three stars — a symbol of Argentine pride and a tribute to the national team’s World Cup victories.
