ESTADIO AMALFITANI T-Shirt | For all Vélez fans
One of the most iconic and well-known stadiums in Argentine soccer. Located in the Liniers neighborhood, it is named in honor of Vélez’s most influential leader: José Amalfitani. He is credited with the powerful quote: “Concrete is silent but eloquent.”
This T-shirt features the current Fortín stadium alongside a timeline of its three most significant renovations: 1951–1968, when the stadium was almost entirely rebuilt in concrete; 1969–1977, when it debuted the most advanced lighting system of the era; and 1978, when it served as one of the venues for that year’s World Cup.
It also highlights the star they earned by defeating AC Milan 2-0 in the 1994 Intercontinental Cup, which made them world champions. And you can see the colors of Vélez’s tricolor jersey, which was first worn in the club’s early days because the team was composed mainly of Italian immigrants and their descendants.
